Welcome from the Homosassa River Garden Club.
Cultivating our gardens and our community since 1981.
.
The club meets October through May, on the third Monday of the month. Regular meetings are held at the First United Methodist Church of Homosassa, Fellowship Hall, located at 8831 W. Bradshaw St.(Corner of W. Bradshaw St. and W. Yulee Dr.). These meetings are open to all and begin at 9:30am. Come to learn and stay for the friendship.
H.R.G.C. is a place for people to share their love of gardening and nature The club endeavors to expand knowledge of floral design, gardening in Florida and stewardship of our environment. We aim to meet like-minded people, to improve our community and to preserve the natural beauty of Homosassa and it’s environs. We never forget that the beauty which surrounds us needs care and tending. We further these goals by promoting conservation of resources, educational programs, field trips, community projects, and club events. We’ve rallied for Spring protection, do road side cleanups, offer scholarships, help maintain and beautify the Stage Stand Cemetery, pay tribute to our veterans, give away trees during Arbor Day as well as many other worthwhile community projects. If you have any questions, please contact us.
Membership is open to all. We hope you’ll join us!

Hi Tom,
The club is very sorry you were unable to get a tree sapling last Saturday. I checked with the ladies working that day. They arrived around 8:45 AM and there was already a large crowd of people waiting. The ladies set up on the sidewalk on the North side. By 9:16 AM they were completely out of saplings. They were there for a short time after that.
